Dear sweet friends,

If you have made it here hopefully it is because you have been lucky enough to know the pure love of my sweet Amelia, Moony the squirrel girl.

she has been unwell and gone through lengthy diagnostic testing over the past 2.5 months that has landed us with a cancer diagnosis. While this was not the ideal outcome we have been lucky enough to fall into a diagnosis with a great, great likelihood of responding well to chemotherapy and offering her remission and us more time together with her feeling well again.

I have never asked for help in this way before, but my sincere, deep love for Amelia and knowing all that she has given to so many in her life feels like being released of any shame of asking now.

I went into all of this with the understanding that I would make it work to give Amelia what she needs to be well, as long as it was humane and reasonable. I feel grateful to have an answer and a way forward, but the reality is her diagnosis took far longer than it should have and cost me thousands of dollars to arrive at a suitable treatment plan.

if you feel called to and can spare the resources, we would be so grateful to have your help. I have (joyfully) spent the past 1.5 years taking a hefty pay cut to spend time raising my son, and while I feel grateful to both work part time and raise him it has meant foregoing financial security.
