Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted individuals,

It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of the sudden passing of Matthew Collins on October 10th, 2023. Any money raised from this fundraiser will go directly to Matt's sister, Quin, to cover all costs associated with settling Matt's estate, his cremation and memorial services, and to take care of his amazing eight year old son, Gabriel.

Matt journeyed through life with a passion and energy that could be felt by anyone he interacted with. From humble beginnings in Grants Pass, Oregon where he taught at his local dojo, to traveling the world as a Green Beret, Matt fiercely loved those closest to him and always looked for way to put a smile on people's faces.

Matt was at his best when he was teaching others, writing, lifting weights, or listening to Dave Matthews, and despite his tough exterior, his care and patience with children and animals was a beautiful sight to behold. Though Matt had his struggles in life, his contagious smile, warm presence, and compassionate nature touched countless hearts, making him an irreplaceable part of our lives. Any contribution, no matter how big or small, will make a significant difference in alleviating the financial strain on the Collins family.
