MRI Needed to Help My Sister Walk Pain Free Again

Hi, my name is Emma, and I’m fundraising to cover the costs of my sister’s much needed private MRI!

About 3 months ago, my beautiful sister was injured in the gym. She has torn several muscles in her leg, herniated a disc in her spine, and pinched her sciatic nerve.

Since then, she has endured weeks upon weeks of dead end diagnoses, x rays, doctors appointments, and various treatments and exercises that have made no dent in her debilitating pain.

Her medical team has informed us that we are unable to move forward with any form of treatment without an MRI, which she will not be able to obtain until October of 2025. By that time, she will have sustained significant damage and will likely need invasive surgery.

It is our hope that we can cover the cost of a private MRI for early intervention, so that more extreme measures will not be needed later.

Of all the ways that the intense and constant pain have interrupted her life, she is most devastated about not being able to play and keep up with her young son. He is an absolute darling who misses horsing around with his mommy.

My sister is also set to be married in the spring of next year! Unfortunately, without treatment, we fear she may not be able to walk down the aisle. It is so, so important to her to be able to make it to her groom without the aid of crutches or a wheel chair.

My sister has searched high and low, and the cheapest private MRI available is $675.

We are asking for $700 to partially cover some additional related medical costs, such as her crutches and hip braces.
