MRI and Surgery for Lio
Donation protected

This is Lio Turner-Parker, our furbaby and he needs help. He was hurt in a freak accident while playing with one of his siblings and now is partially paralyzed due to a herniated C2-C3 vertebral disc. Luckily, he is strong and otherwise healthy and is determined to walk again! He has the strength and heart of a dog half his age (and I have the blood work to prove it!). This wonderful doggo has touched so many people's lives and is such a big part of our lives, we are not going to give up on him! The night we brought him into the ER was the most stressful night of our lives to date. The vet was unhelpful and told us that Lio would be paralzyed forever and would need to be put down.
We did not and do not accept this. In these videos you can see Lio is otherwise healthy and clear eyed and he is DETERMINED to walk. As long as he is willing to fight - we will be by his side helping him to recover.
We have already depleted our savings, spending 3,000$ on his emergency bills but we are not out of the woods yet. He has a neurology appointment coming up and he is in need of an MRI and potentially surgery. Between the two of his furparents (Allie and I) we are working four jobs and are doing our best to shoulder all of the bills... but at this point we need to reach out for help!
The MRI is $3500 and we don't have an estimate on the surgery yet, but you can imagine the cost involved! I know this is a hard time for everyone now, but if you have ever met Lio and he has touched you or your heart, we would be eternally grateful for a donation. Anything helps!
We will be updating this profile with videos of his progress and thank you's to everyone able to participate in helping his recovery.
