L2/L3 Tumor Recovery and Costs

Donation protected

Me and My Husband have been having a really rough time.  It started with a simple broke ankle, and turned into a tumor found on my husband l2/l3 vertebrate.

The costs of maintaining residency, food, travel expenses, medical treatments, medications and more are really starting to add up and we really need your help.

We aren't asking for a lot.  Anything would be appreciated and we'll provide frequent updates on Michaels condition.

What started as a car crash ended up to the discovery of a long hidden nerve sheath tumor on his L2/L3 of his Spine, it was compressing on his cueda equine this caused a whole host of very serious issues, bladder incontinence, crippling sciatica, intractable pain and more seriously loss of sensation in his lower extremities.

He was in the hospital for 3 days originally and released.  However, Short there after he had an issue with pain in his abdomen, a CT revealed an infected appendix.  An emergency surgery was scheduled and the infected organ was removed.

After the pain continued,  Michael went back to the ER.  They did an MRI and CT of his brain where they found his tumor site was still leaking.  Causing extreme pains and numbness in his body shooting everywhere.

They ended up doing a highly risky procedure on his brain and spine, they opened up a whole in his head and inserted a tube down into his brains ventricles.  This allowed them to control the rate of CSF leaving his system and they have been draining him ever since.  He had to lay prone or 6 days not moving, and forced to sleep in the same position again and again.  It was utter agony and watching Michael go thru this was absolutely agonizing.

The costs are extremely high, while we have good medical care a lot of it is not covered, especially things considered non-essential.
He is still in the hospital, and has been for over a week now. He is planned to be released next Tuesday but A LOT of rehabilitation will take place, with his muscles atrophied and his demeanor low, because of all the pain he's been in.

We are asking for help from friends and family to help us through this really difficult time for our Family.  Michael is an amazing Man, who has dedicated his life to being a solid worker, an amazing friend, and irreplaceable 'Fur'ther and Husband.

Donations are appreciated and will immediately go towards helping with medical expenses, and living costs during this time.
