Eye amputee due to late stage sinus cancer
Donation protected
The morning of December 21st, I was diagnosed with stage 3 rhabdomyosarcoma cancer. Rhabdomyosarcoma is very aggressive form of cancer and it has taken form as a very large tumor in my sinus passages and is spreading rapidly.
The Surgery to remove a large portion of Ricks tumor was set for January 6th in Rochester. During surgery the surgeon discovered that the cancer had spread and unfortunately they had to remove his right eye, and construct him a new pallet in his mouth using bone from his back, but did successfully remove the entire tumor and he is even starting walk around and is doing well as of right now. He still has a long road for recovery and anyway anyone could help would be greatly appreciated.
We have an upcoming appointment on February 14th, to Rochester General for chemo port placement to make chemotherapy a little more manageable, we will continue to keep everyone updated as we progress.
