Guillain-Barré Can't Beat Rafael

Rafael Moret, the infamous Mr. Bootcamp, is South Florida’s #1 Trainer and Nutritionist.   Active and healthy until he started with a tingling sensation in the hands. 

Within a blink of an eye, sensation  spread to the feet and within days noticeable weakness across the body started to show that something was wrong. The weakness got so bad that he wasn't able to walk or even stand up without assistance so his beautiful wife knew it was time to seek help. 

At the ER visit and many tests later, Rafael was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome. A very rare autoimmune condition that attacks the nervous system where nerves shut down.

Overnight after being admitted into the hospital, he was completely paralyzed and started a 5-day treatment that would help boost the immune system. After one week in the ICU, he was transferred to a rehabilitation center where he made a great deal of progress within 2 weeks.  Just a few days after being home, the weakness returned gradually until he found himself back in the ER and admitted into the hospital once again for more treatment. He is currently undergoing his second round of treatment this time with plasmapheresis.  The battle has been ongoing at this same stage for almost two months.

As Rafael being the main provider of income, unfortunately has been unable to work.  As you can imagine with his wife and 2 children including a newborn baby, all this is very exhausting and income is an increasing point of stress and anxiety.  The financial burden is real. The Moret’s medical approaches comes at a cost as more treatments and rehabilitation phase are underway. 

Ultimately friends, we're asking for any financial contribution you may be able to donate as they  continue to struggle to win this battle.  The smallest amount helps, I promise you!  We certainly understand this is simply not an option for many and we thank you for your kind thoughts etc.  Nothing is expected, please do what is only within your means.
