Wedding Blessings
Donation protected

We decided to set up this page because we anticipate that some of our loved ones will insist on giving us wedding gifts. If this applies to you, PLEASE DO NOT GET US PHYSICAL ITEMS. Will and I are going to be moving to North Carolina, and are only taking what we can fit in our cars so if you feel the urge to bless us, just donate here. Please only give if your heart leads you to! All funds will be used for our trip: gas, fun adventures, food, etc. As well as household items: furniture, decorations, etc. In advance, thank you so much! May God return your blessing ten fold.
Since you're here, please enjoy this depiction of our history as a couple :)
OUR STORY
William and Rebekah met at the 2013 Vanden High School Homecoming game. They became sweethearts during the second semester when they found themselves sharing 3rd-period as office TAs. Rebekah put her number in Will's backpack one day, and after a few days in suspense, he called her for an impromptu frozen yogurt date. He said, "I'll be there in 15, don't get dressed up." Rocking sweats, Rebekah came behind her mom to Will's knock at the front door. She saw the charismatic guy from her 3rd period wearing a nice dress shirt and some jeans... laughing up a storm that Bekah had actually put on sweats.
Their connection was effortless and fun, but not superficial. They felt like immediate best friends and truly fell in love. After a few months of developing a strong friendship, stealing kisses during 3rd period, and sporadic after-school dates to fro-yo or the movies... William told Rebekah she was the girl he wanted to marry. But he wasn't ready yet. He expressed his goals and position in life; his focus was refining himself, losing weight, and becoming a marine. He said he knew he wasn't worthy of being a husband and didn't have the time to maintain a relationship yet. So they continued their friendship with new boundaries and stopped seeing each other outside of class. Rebekah would see Will around school with other girls from time to time, but noticed he didn’t look at them the same way. Though disappointed, Bekah had faith in their connection and resolved to be patient and trust that it would come to pass if it were meant to be.
One night during Rebekah's senior year, she came home from her restaurant job to a bouquet sitting on the front porch. Assuming the flowers were left there for her Mom she casually picked them up, and opened the door to find her Mom standing there with a huge grin on her face. "Look at the card!!" She exclaimed, overbearingly excited. Sure enough, Rebekah's name was on the card. She was flattered and happily confused. As she tried to enter the house, Rebekah's mom motioned for her to turn around.. and there was William standing by his car with that contagious and loving smile spread across his face, holding a box of chocolate-covered Strawberries. "You thought I forgot about you?" He said.
The next day the two went to breakfast at Mel's Diner in Vacaville and it was as if no time had passed. Still that same effortless connection. Still that same sweet and shy girl; suddenly unable to push down parts of her personality that were hidden most of the time. Still that same handsome and charismatic guy; shining a light, making fun, and sparking conversations with every person he met as if they were his closest friends or family. He asked her to marry him that day.
Will was to be stationed in Japan soon, and explained that as his wife Rebekah could finish high school overseas, travel the world with him, and be taken care of. Rebekah truly cared for Will, but thought it was too crazy of an idea to get married and move to Japan at 17, so she said no. Will felt so betrayed he blocked her and went on with his military career. After several attempts to remain in contact, Rebekah moved on too and went to Sonoma State later that year. It seemed the two had parted ways for good.
Fast forward to February 27th, 2021... Will noticed Rebekah was online on Facebook Messenger, and still single. They messaged back and forth for a couple of hours, catching up briefly and making plans to video chat when Rebekah returned from a family vacation. On March 2nd, during that first FaceTime call, it was as if no time had passed. They had both experienced a lot of life, had been through their own struggles, carried pain and baggage with them... but still that same effortless connection. Still that same sweet and shy girl, still that same handsome and charismatic guy; shining a light, making fun, and sparking conversations as if they were the closest friends and family. This time though, one thing was different: a mutual love for God outshined it all.
Even from two different states, the two became inseparable. They had Bible studies, traded stories about their time apart, and joked about how much better their experiences would have been if Rebekah would've said yes back in 2014. Their FaceTime calls lasted through the night, into business hours, and through the night again for days on end. Even living 4 hours apart when Will returned to Weed, CA, the two have remained inseparable. After so many years without contact, through disagreements and obstacles, the connection these two share is inseparable.
"What therefore God hath joined together, let not man separate." -Mark 10:9 NKJV
At the center of it all has been our father, guiding them together in ministry. Guiding them to set anchors in him first before each other. They are children of God first: brother and sister in Christ first, best friends second, and now forever husband and wife. His timing has been so perfect.
REASON FOR THE MOVE
REASON FOR THE MOVE
In January of 2021, after newly accepting Christ, Rebekah woke up with North Carolina on her heart. Non-stop she was being bombarded with thoughts of moving there to grow her faith, to discover a spiritual family, to complete good works God had set aside for her to do. She was reminded of how inexplicably drawn she was to the state when she visited her best friend in 2016. And so, she called her mom and resolved that she would begin preparing to move there in a year. Well, God continued to line things up because in early February Rebekah got an unprovoked job offer to work and be certified as a dental assistant, in an office where the gospel is accepted and acknowledged. Where she is free to spread the gospel, pray, and worship. All certification and pay in this field transfers with ease from CA to NC. And then, in March Will shows up announcing that he is expecting orders to report to North Carolina, of all places.
How good is our God? He is truly our provision and our provider. When we surrender to him, he works with ease to align our lives with his will. When we trust in him and put him first, he works everything out for our good.
The refining fire of God has equipped them for the big changes ahead. Through distance, temptation, trials, tribulation, tests, failures, and persecution… this couple has maintained transparency, patience, and true love not only with one another but more importantly with Yah. Only through the guidance of the word and divine intervention have they resolved to unite in matrimony, and obediently relocate to North Carolina together.

God will continue to make a way for this to happen in his perfect timing! May their testimony and future testimonies inspire you to glorify the Lord God! The glory is all his. Amen?
