A Classroom Built on Kindness!

Hi everyone!

I just recently started at a new elementary school and I inherited a classroom that I’m looking to remake for my new 4th graders. The classroom is in some rough shape, but where there’s a will, there’s a way!

With everything going on today, there never seems to be any highlight of positivity and hope, and I’m hoping this initiative can be a start for my kids. I’m calling this initiative “A Classroom Built on Kindness” as a way to show my 4th graders that there is genuine kindness out there in the world and that you’re able to receive the energy you put out in the world. Much like this fundraiser, where I’m reaching out to anyone who’s willing to help to make this classroom a place of peace, learning, and most of all, fun!

A few things that your donations will help fund:

- school supplies for activities (think colored pencils, scissors, glue, the standard stuff)

- materials for monthly activities or yearly activities (I created a Disney Day at my previous school and I’d love to do the same here!)

- books for our library corner

- materials for science projects (you all remember the baking soda/vinegar volcano you made when you were young, right?)

- small prizes to reward positive behavior and success in lessons

- posters that can be put around the classroom to reinforce positivity and diversity

- wall/classroom decor to make the classroom more inviting and flow better

- anything else that comes up in the year

I’d love to sponsor some of my activities in the classroom to also help reinforce this initiative to show that kindness and generosity can come from anywhere, so the more I receive, the more I’d love to do .

Anything that you donate will be greatly appreciated; not just by me but also the kids, the staff, and anyone else that will walk into the classroom and see the effects that true kindness can have!
