A Leg for Sy

Sy Thomas is a dear friend of mine and a longtime colleague of my husband Steve Santillan at Disney Television Animation.  He has recently undergone surgery to amputate his left leg just below the knee. Since he was fifteen years old, he's been living with a paralyzed left foot and ankle which was the result of a devastating motorcycle accident.  During the last three years the complications became so severe and a danger to his well being that his doctors at UCLA agreed it was time to remove his leg.  The surgery went well and Sy is recovering in the comfort of his home.

Prosthetics can be very expensive, and as I have learned, amputees today often have several prosthetics designed specifically for activities such as running, surfing, or bathing.  Let's help Sy get back on his feet with his very first prosthetic.  We would be so grateful for any contribution no matter how small.
