Hello, my name is Rick Rickerson. I am a retired Battalion Chief with a metro Atlanta fire dept. After retiring, I started a small Roll Off Dumpster Business. This is where the story starts. I unload several times a day at the local (TS) transfer station (landfill) using hydraulic dump equipment. Two years ago, I met a man that unloads there also. A man that is like no one else unloading. He loads and unloads everything by hand, although he struggles to just walk. In his words, "my hips and knees are gone." Mr. V gives thanks to God for the opportunity to keep working. He says he will work till he's in the grave. He is an inspiration to everyone who sees him working.
I want to, hopefully with your help, purchase a dump trailer for Mr. V. Then all he will have to do is press a button to unload like the rest of us. The dump trailer I think that will fit Mr. V best is a single axle, 14 ft dump. It will need a few modifications for his needs that I will pay and take care of.
