Whether he taught you HSTs, Azumas or your entire rules course, there isn't a single Driver across The East Coast Mainline who hasn't had their career developed by Ian Massey.
In April 2020, Ian will retire as an Operations Driver at LNER because "you know it's time to retire when there's stuff in the Railway Museum which came in after you did!"
After almost 40 years' service as a Driver, Trainer and Manager for LNER and all of its predecessors, Ian will hang up his hi-vis for one last time and it'd only be fitting to show how much his career has helped the rest of us.
Never one for a big celebration, we're sure he'd hate us if we threw him a leaving party, so we're running this collection so that he can celebrate however he wants.
