Hello, this is Doji and I am making this fundraiser to help with my father's medical bills and retirement. At the end of February, he choked on some food which lead to his heart working at 20% strength (heart failure). The choking caused him to have a chronic cough and shortness of breath which then turned into swelling of legs and hands. This eventually landed him in the hospital where doctors diagnosed him with heart failure and water retention in his lungs. To find this diagnosis he had to stay in the hospital for about a week to undergo many tests every day with various specialists. With the tests completed, he then had to have certain parts of his heart shocked to promote proper heart functions. Next, he had to remove the liquid from his lungs with a needle. During and after all of the procedures he had to take many medications which exhausted his body to the point of retirement and him moving back home to Japan.

This was all very shocking and sudden... The hospital bills did not help the process at all... I have created this fundraiser for those who have asked me how they could help. Your donation would cover his medical bills, living expenses and any other existing expenses he can no longer work for. Any amount at this point would benefit Takayuki Kuwahara.
