Mr Hildred needs help

My name is Victoria and I am the business owner of Victorias tea room deliveries. 4 years ago I started delivering hot meals to Mr Hildred a 84 year old gentleman living alone in Scunthorpe in need without any friends or family.

Mr Hildred was mugged today! He was pushed to the ground, his wallet was stolen and he is absolutely broken.

I am fundraising to give back what was stolen from him, pay for a gardener as he needs help with his garden which has been getting him down for weeks. I know this will mean a lot to him.

UPDATE - MR HILDRED

I cannot begin to express how grateful I am for all of you. Your kindness has blown me away these last 24 hours.

The man responsible has been charged and has appeared at court.

The go fund me page has raised over £1,000 which is £800 over the original target I set to be able to give him back the money that was stolen from him and to pay for some gardening to be done.

I have been to see him this morning and although very swollen and bruised he’s doing okay.

I have replaced his wallet and put the money inside that he lost yesterday and he couldn’t speak - we were both in tears!

We are hoping to get a group of people together who could give up a couple of hours of their time to tackle the hedges together as so many of you have offered.

I have asked him what he would like and he has asked for a duvet and some pillows so I will be getting them for him this weekend.

The money raised will be spent on anything I can get to help better his quality of life.
