Mr. Hector Serulle

We are devastated by our father’s loss. We want to give him the memorial he deserves to honor his memory and say our last goodbyes. Any donations to cover the costs of our father’s funeral would be greatly appreciated. We are so very grateful for any generosity at this very difficult time.
Thank you.

It is with a profound sense of respect and admiration that we celebrate the life of Mr. Hector Serulle, 82, of Fort Lee NJ, who passed away on August 29th, 2023. The youngest of 10 siblings, he was the baby of the family. Son of Abraham and Nabija Serulle-Srouji of Nazareth, Palestine.

Hector was a beacon of hope, a pillar of strength, and a testament to the power of positivity. His optimism and spirited personality touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Mr. Serulle was a proud Business Entrepreneur, who owned a successful shoe and clothing store in Manhattan, “Serulle’s Shoe”. His unwavering commitment was a reflection of his passionate belief in the power of hard work and determination he was able to pass on to his two daughters.

He was a loving husband to his wife, Maxima of 55 years, and a doting father to his daughters, Angie Serulle-Marcus and Luddy Serulle-Green. His son-in-laws, Spencer Marcus and Matthew Green, were more like sons to him. Nothing brought Hector more joy than being a grandfather to Jordana (18), Asher (17), Nova (16), Ellis (15), and Ethan (14). He was their biggest cheerleader, always ready with a word of encouragement or a comforting hug. His grandchildren were his pride and joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

His greatest joy came from being around his family. He was a man who found happiness in the simplest of things. When not with his family, he was watching his beloved New York Yankees. You would hear, “Let’s Go Yankees” throughout the house in the summer.

In the face of adversity, he remained optimistic. He was a man of unwavering faith, and his spirit was infectious. He taught us that life is not about the challenges we face, but how we rise above them. His legacy is a testament to his indomitable spirit, a spirit that will continue to inspire us all.

As we remember him, let us celebrate his life by embodying the value’s he held dear - Optimism, Selflessness, and a Spirited Zest for life. His life was a testament to the power of positivity, and his legacy will continue to inspire us all. Hector Serulle, your spirit lives on.
