Our brothers and sisters in the Bahamas have been devastatingly affected by Hurricane Dorian. I am a Bahamian, so this is really near and dear to my heart. As we prepare to deal with the effects of its aftermath, we put together this fund to start collecting finances that will be instrumental in assisting with whatever needs that arise. We are partnering with various organizations and individuals to provide support in the most efficient manner which will include purchasing food, water, toiletries, and coordinating with contractors to help with the rebuild efforts.
I am in direct contact with local church St. John's Jubilee Cathedral who will work with us to coordinate the distribution of all the items we purchase using the funds collected together with items that have been donated.
I am personally traveling to Florida to work with volunteers who have so generously opened up their homes to receive donations. We will be packing and loading both donated and purchased items on a vessel that is scheduled to make trips to the Bahamas. I will make the first couple of trips to the Bahamas with the items to ensure that they arrive at the intended destination and are distributed accordingly.
In addition to the donation of supplies, we are also partnering with construction companies to help with the rebuild and restoration efforts when that time comes.
We are extremely grateful for all the support. Be Blessed!
