Mr. Flowers Rebound Fund

Thank you friends, family and co-workers of our family, as so many of you have reached out and asked how to help or what you could do for my brother and his family.  I can tell you, that first and foremost, the prayers are felt and are most definitely working.  As many of you know my brother, Derek Flowers, has been in the ICU with COVID-19. My brother is a humble and gracious guy and we are all praying (along with your help) for his full recovery.  Derek is a kindergarten teacher at Sunset Park Elementary, however he has been an educator in Pueblo School District #60 for over 15 years. He gives his time as a youth coach for football, basketball, soccer, etc. for his own boys, but also so many kids in the community (including my own). You will often find him at the “slabs” running basketball boot camps for kids on his own time, just to keep them active and safe. He has truly made a difference in many of our youth's community lives. It is not uncommon to be with my brother and run into one of his students at the State Fair or a restaurant and have them comment on what a great influence he has been in their lives.  Derek's motivation and energy has always been selfless.  He and his wife, Brittney, are the first to lend a hand to family, friends and many of his students' parents when they need it. Thank you to everyone who has texted, called, messaged, dropped off food to my sister-in-law and nephews, cards, flowers, etc. It is all very much appreciated.  This fundraiser was initiated to help them with the unknown medical expenses and recovery road ahead.  Sometimes when I don't know what to do ..... it just feels good to do something .
