Ernest Gene Ruiz passed peacefully in his home on July 16th, 2021 in Pahoa, Hawaii.

His will infinitely be missed.

Many people have reached out to us, asking what they can do to help us during this strenuous time.

We decided a Go Fund Me page was a convenient platform to use.

It is truly unfortunate and sad that Mr. Ruiz and his late wife Margaret experienced extreme unforeseen financial hardships through the years (identity theft, medical expenses, loans, etc.). These financial burdens carried over with Ernest after Margaret’s passing.

Because of this and the absence of monetary help, we created this campaign for donations to help us with the financial distress of funeral costs. With your contributions and support, we can provide Ernest the funeral services he deserves. Any donation is welcome and will help us tremendously.

There is truly no shame and embarrassment in asking for help, as Ernest was constantly there to help his family. Now, we can finally return the favor for all the decades of help he provided, even when it financially constricted him.

For those of you who knew Mr. Ernest Ruiz, you know he was one of the hardest working men with the biggest heart and loving soul. He deserves to be put to rest the proper way.

We are extremely grateful for any help you can contribute and thank you in advance for your time and support during this painful time.

Our father/grandfather will be eternally missed, but we are happy and at ease that he has been reunited with our mother/grandmother,

the love of his life.
