Mr. Ellis Peal - Our Mercy Family

Hello my name is Kit Mui and I m a nurse working in the ICU. I have been with Mercy and now Insight for about 15 years now. My coworkers and I started this fundraiser, with approval from his mother, for Mr. Ellis L. Peal III who worked for the transport unit.

One might remember Ellis as the "guy with braids" or the one with good cologne if you shared the elevator with him. He always asked about how was your day, gentle with our patients, willing to go above and beyond, and patiently waited for the nurses to get the patient ready.  When you talk to other people about Ellis we have only good things to say about him.  I remembered our last conversation during a patient transport was of him thinking of returning to school. Ellis always carry a smile and considerate for others.

On the night of July 3, 2021, Ellis was wounded by gunshots on his way to work. He passed away surrounded by his family on July 16, 2021. He left behind his teenage son Ellis "Peanut" Peal IV, parents Mr. Ellis L. Peal Jr. and Mrs. Carol Peal, and younger brother Elliott.

The final and full amount of this fundraiser will be personally handed to Ellis's mother.  It is intended to be use toward Ellis's funeral cost and other allocation per Mrs. Peal.

Condolences and comments will be printed out and give to Mrs. Peal as well.
