Balthazar was my first ever cat. I got him when I moved into my first apartment, and he's been with me through thick and thin since. He has a grumpy face but is absolutely the sweetest, always a hit with the vets.

Recently, he has been losing weight, and his asthma (which he has had since he was a kitten) has gotten worse. During treatment, the vet discovered he also had anemia and swollen lymph nodes, alongside some other issues.

The problem is that I am already about $5k in the hole and still don't have answers. I am a high school math teacher, and due to some human medical issues, I don't have any savings at the moment. The last thing I want is for a lack of funds to get in the way of Balthazar's quality of life. He deserves so much better than that.
