I realize this is a longshot, friends, but I’m willing to roll the dice for my beloved baby boy Mr. Big Stuff because he’s just such a remarkable and majestic creature.
(He truly is the king, and we are merely his servants.)
Mr. Big Stuff, approximately age 12, wandered into my back yard one day in 2014, and despite my insistence there was no room at the inn, he simply refused to leave. We've been joined at the hip ever since. I soon discovered he was FIV-positive, but until recently, he's never shown a chink in his armor.
After his recent surgery to remove two teeth, Stuff has been struggling to regain his health. He's gotten so sick in recent days, I nearly decided to have him euthanized. But I just couldn't pull the plug on my baby boy. Not without a fight.
Yesterday we paid a visit to the brilliant and eccentric Dr. Kais Francis at the Francis Animal Hospital in Detroit. Dr. Francis confirmed that poor Big Stuff is anemic and that he could benefit from a potentially lifesaving blood transfusion.
That would make Stuff the Keith Richards of Simba the Lion Kings!
I know it's a real Hail Mary, but if we can raise enough money in the next 24-48 hours, Dr. Francis thinks Stuff has a good chance to return to his old self. The transfusion would be performed by the amazing doctors at Wilson Veterinary Hospital in suburban Detroit.
If this blood transfusion is a success (click here for details), Stuff says he’ll autograph this classic photo of himself in his prime. And no matter what happens, you're all invited to Stuff's house for a celebration of his life this summer.
Bottom line, says Stuff: We need blood money — literally!
Please help!
Thanks again for your kindness and generosity … with all sincerity, from the bottom of my animal-lovin’ heart!
Stuff’s dad,

BACKSTORY: (Dec. 12, 2022) My main man, Mr. Big Stuff, is FIV-positive and had to undergo emergency oral surgery this morning. The poor guy had to have two teeth pulled, and they also removed a tumor from his mouth, which still needs to be sent to the lab for analysis.
He's back home tonight, resting somewhat uncomfortably, but I'm hopeful he'll make a full recovery. If you're able, please help me cover some of Stuff's medical expenses, which were a bit more than I'd bargained for.
Thanks a million ... from the bottom of my animal-lovin' heart!
Stuff's dad,
Dave
