Happy birthday Brent!

Hi everyone in our expedition family, our dear Mr Penguin/Mr Polar Bear Brent Houston is waggling around like a Skua’s just stole his egg these days. Not only because he has an identity crisis after more than 30 years studying penguins in Antarctica. Nor is he believing he is a polar bear, even though he has probably seen more than most of us.

It’s his body and legs, not being as cooperative as they used to be, and he’s already scheduled for surgery next month. Unfortunately, he’s not as fortunate as I am to live in a country where the government foot’s the bill.

A medical bill is always a very heavy burden, with potential to force his recovery time at home to be shorter than it should be.

So, with that being said, I would like to help my dear friend with starting a fundraiser and hopefully you will also be able to chip in, if possible. We’re all crossing fingers for a successful procedure and a good and speedy recovery, and most of all looking forward to having this monumental man around us on new adventures in our Bi-Polar world we experience together.
