With a heavy heart, we share the sad news of the sudden passing of Mr. Baby Abraham, father of Bijo Abraham, 3/22 Evans Avenue, Eastlakes. He and his wife were visiting to welcome their second grandchild and had been here for some eight months. On the morning of Good Friday, April 18th, while they were getting ready to go for church service, he experienced shortness of breath and collapsed. Despite the best efforts of emergency services, he could not be revived.

Mr. Baby Abraham was a member of St. George Orthodox Church, Puthuppally, Kottayam. The family have decided to take his body to Kerala for the final rites as per his wish.

As Bijo Abraham and family are still new to Sydney, they are going through an incredibly difficult time and have requested support from the malayali community of Sydney and Sydney Malayalee Association to help manage the unexpected financial and emotional burden during this time. To assist, Sydmal has set up a GoFundMe campaign for funds collection. We appeal to the generous minds of our community to help Bijo and family in this difficult situation.
