Hi guys,

So, this is the fundraiser to support the exceptional cause of sending off our dearest brother Rico with a flourish of love and appreciation he'd be proud of.

Rico's friends were like his family, and it's been his very oldest mates from Portugal who are ensuring his funeral costs are covered, an act for which we're all incredibly grateful.

This GoFundMe is so Rico's many many many friends across his entire circle can do something collectively - give him a wake and celebrations that suitably honour a life that lit up so many of ours so vividly.

To cover this ambition we set out trying to raise a couple of grand.

It's a stunning testament to the esteem in which Rico is held that this figure was surpassed within 24 hours.

All the money raised will go towards hosting something extra special for our boy.

The venue will be The Salusbury pub, and the invitation to come back after his service is open to all who loved and cared for him (details to follow in the Just Rico WhatsApp group.

So, to all who have contributed, thank you dearly, and for any further expressions of support to come, we'll keep this fundraiser open for a couple of days after we can confirm his funeral date and time.
