Hello SMS Peep's.
As you all know, Stacey and Michael, Mr. & Mrs. SMS have had a difficult few years. From the loss of Stacey's parents, the loss of a beloved SMS Girl, the loss of an SMS Girl's husband to the total loss of of their home to a fire, they have endured much without every wavering their positive, upbeat and caring attitudes towards all of us.
Then, Michael, Mr. SMS, at the age of 54 had to have open heart surgery on 9-12-19. And, while the surgery went well, Michael suffered a debilitating stoke the next day. This was heartbreaking to all. Stacey and Michael met in high school and knew then that they would spend the rest of their lives together. On 9-10-19, they celebrated 24 years of marriage.
With two boys to raise, a home to rebuild and a business to run, Stacey is going to have her hands full. Scrapbooking Made Simple is the sole income for this family and Michael is going to need months of treatment. In fact, he is currently still in the ICU Support Unit.
Stacey has been their for all of us, one way or another. She is family. She teaches us without asking for anything in return. She shares what she has with those in need and never wonders what is in it for her. She leads with her heart and hopes that kindness will prevail. This is our opportunity to help her.
She will need funds to finish the rebuild of her home as we ll know how her insurance company has treated her family. She will need help paying for Michael's long term treatments. She will need help maintaining a business when her time and focus is so divided between so many life impacting challenges.
So, if you can, please help. And if that means that you will need to send a prayer in lieu of money, I know that Stacey will be grateful for each and every one of those prayers. We are hoping to raise much more than $10,000.00 as this wont even cover Michael's medical bills, but it is a start and we must start some where.
Thank you.
