No one should face cancer alone.

When you're diagnosed with cancer in a country that isn't your own, it can feel like the loneliest place in the world. Cancer Support Netherlands exists to change that.

We are the English-language cancer support community in the Netherlands, working towards a future where everyone facing cancer here receives care that is inclusive, empathetic and compassionate.

Our two goals

1. Bringing people together

We build a community where no one has to go through cancer alone:

• A safe, moderated WhatsApp community, open day and night

• An event every month, online and in person

• Help finding the right Dutch care and information

• Our first Wellness Retreat in spring 2027

2. Improving the cancer journey

We share what our members experience with hospitals, healthcare professionals and cancer organisations, so that care in the Netherlands becomes more inclusive for everyone.

In under two years:

• About 225 people have joined our community, 147 of them living with cancer

• More than 9 in 10 members stay with us

• Backed by four foundations and corporate partners

We are a registered charity with ANBI status, run by a volunteer board, and every euro goes to services that are already running.
