In memory of Rose
Tax deductible
I learned my mom was diagnosed with terminal cancer on March 26, 2019. She was given three days to three weeks. She survived more than two months.
My mom struggled with addiction throughout her life, so she had few resources. Providence Hospice gave her a comforting place to die. She was given a beautiful room, good food and loving care for the final days of her life —and she used them. She used her last days for reconciliation, love, faith, family, and friendships. Even the nurses that cared for her called her friend at the end.
There are are many things more I wish I’d have done for mom in life, but those opportunities died with the rise of her disease. However, I do think she’d like her death to be the cause of others getting help—of having a comforting place for family to visit and pray while someone they love leaves this life for the next.
I am grateful for Providence Hospice & Home Care Foundation Snohomish County (Phhc Foundation) for the incredible kindness they gave my mom, who suffered much in life and in her death, but was given all possible comforts at the end.
The best of my mom made people laugh and smile, feel loved and accepted and comforted. Her smile was enchanting and her personality inviting. In memory of my mom I’m hoping to raise $1,949 in her name that will aid in caring for others. Please give to Providence Hospice & Home Care Foundation Snohomish County (Phhc Foundation): “As a people of Providence we reveal God's love for all, especially the poor and vulnerable, through our compassionate service.”
Rose Alma Mesiani (Oldenkamp), born November 12, 1949, to Edward and Majorie OldenKamp, beloved sister of Elaine, Dean, Bob and Joe, mother of Tonia, David and Douglas Boze and Andrea Aggers, and beloved grandmother of Hunter, Quinn, Jack, Neva, Hayden, Elizabeth, Ryan and Isabella, was brought to rest with her Lord in Heaven, Jesus Christ, at 8:20pm on June 8, 2019. She died after an exhausting battle with cancer, with her two sons, Douglas (her youngest) and David (her eldest) holding her hands. Her final days were filled with friendship, family, faith, grandchildren and reconciliation. Everett Providence Hospital’s Colby Campus Hospice staff provided care and comfort for Rose with a charity and love that can never be repaid.
She lives again gain in the promise of eternal salvation through Jesus Christ. Www.providence.org/phhc
