Running Amsterdam Marathon for Ted
In February this year we lost a great friend to suicide. Ted would light up every room he walked into, make you laugh uncontrollably and most importantly he was one of the kindest men I have known.
In his memory myself along with 50 of Ted's friends are running the Amsterdam Marathon on 21st October with the aim of raising £50,000 for the Ted Foundation.
The fact and figures surrounding suicide are shocking; 84 men take their own lives every week in the UK and it is the single largest killer of males under 45. This has to change.
The Ted Foundation has been set up by Ted's brother Max to help tackle the stigma surrounding mental health, to prevent similar tragedies occurring in the future and decrease those statistics.
Any donation would be greatly appreciated and will help me get round the 26 miles a lot easier.
Thank you,
Rachel
