Hi folks- My name is Cooper Graham and I'm putting this campaign together for Chrissy Twohig.
I've known Chrissy's fiancé for quite a while, but after meeting her for the first time(like anyone else who has had the pleasure) I was met with the unwavering light of her uplifting spirit from the first hello. Not often do you meet someone whose authentic interest and curiosity in your adventures in life meets or exceeds your own. Chrissy is genuinely among the kindest, most dedicated, and loving people I have met, let alone had the pleasure to call my friend. Her love for those near and dear to her as well as those in the motorcycle community is profound, and she is surrounded by people who can say she has made an immense impact on their day to day lives just by her being in them.
Months ago, a doctor discovered melanoma in Chrissy's underarm lymph nodes, for which she received radiation and immunotherapy treatment. In the last month, she had begun to experience pressure headaches, fatigue, and troubles with her memory. After a recent MRI, doctors have discovered the melanoma has metastasized to two locations in her brain. Although treatable, Chrissy is currently experiencing symptoms of fatigue, mobility issues, and memory issues that have left her in a state where she is unable to work. Doctors do not currently have a prognosis for her.
Those of you that have personally or seen a loved one struggle with the process of cancer treatment know that it is not only painful to see someone close to you suffering due to the symptoms of cancer and its remediation, but the financial difficulties due to the incredibly expensive forms of treatment, often not covered by insurance- of the spectrum for expense to the patient for treating cancer, Chrissy is currently at the top. The funds raised from this campaign will go directly from GoFundMe to Chrissy and her family to help relieve their financial stress as much as possible.
Each of you that get to call Chrissy a friend like I do understand the severity of her situation, and as her friend, please reach out to her and let her know you're there to support her. Between the symptoms, treatment, frequent MRI's, and the day to day on top of that, she's exhausted and needs us to be there for her. Thank you all so much.
