On the 19th November 2024, a devastating fire ripped through the kitchen of the Moore's family home in Tralee, County Kerry. As you could imagine, the timing of this tragedy couldn’t be any more challenging, especially with Christmas right around the corner.

The fire not only destroyed the kitchen and everything within it, but the smoke damage has rendered the rest of the house uninhabitable, forcing the family to seek shelter elsewhere since then. Heartbreakingly, the fire also claimed the lives of two of the family’s beloved pet cats. While we are deeply grateful that the family themselves are safe, this disaster has left them facing a mountain of unnecessary emotional and financial strain. With the loss of so many of their kitchen appliances and other household items, this fundraiser is aimed at supporting the family to get back on their feet and alleviate the financial burden after such a traumatic experience.

Being a neighbour of this family for over two decades now and witnessing how they have shown endless love and compassion to those around them throughout the years, it is only natural that we come together and support them during this difficult time. We all know of Christmas as a time of giving, but it is also a time of providing for those in need. Let us all unite and help this family recover to ensure that they can make the most of the upcoming festive season.
