Tropical Field Biology in CostaRica
Donation protected
Recently, I was accepted to participate in a trip to Costa Rica through a class at Kent State University. The class is Tropical Field Biology and Conservation and is over 2-3 weeks during winter break. With this class, I would be trekking through the rainforest doing research with one of the top professors in the Biology program and learning new life skills. Costa Rica is one of the most biodiverse places on Earth, possibly holding the secrets to cures to many detrimental viruses and diseases as well as many undiscovered species of organisms. Unfortunately tuition for this class is $2200 not including travel and passport costs. As a full time student with a part time job I cannot afford this. It would be huge for my career as a Botanist and possibly help me decide what I want to do after graduation in May. Any help to reach my goal would be much appreciated and hopefully one day I could give it back in some way. Thank you.
