Thank you for visiting Shelby Bowes’ Go Fund Me page. For those who haven’t met our beautiful friend, Shelby, she is a 37 year old Art Teacher in the Toms River Regional School District. Shelby lives in Beachwood with her husband, Josh, and two sons, Joshua and Trapp. Joshua is 5 years old and Trapp is 22 months. Shelby’s parents and one sister live in Mississippi, while her other two sisters live in Tuckerton and Waretown. Shelby is an amazing woman, wife, mother, daughter, sister, teacher and friend.
In August of 2018, Shelby was diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer; the cancer was found to be estrogen receptive and spreading to her lymph nodes. Within a year, the cancer spread to spots on her bones, lungs, and rib. Shelby has undergone hormone therapy for 9 months, completed 10 rounds of radiation, and is currently on a chemotherapy treatment. This Go Fund Me page was set up to support Shelby and her family through this trying time. Every donation, no matter how small or great, will mean the world to The Bowes’ family.
