Hello, my name is Coiana and I was diagnosed with endometrial cancer in April of 2022. I had a partial hysterectomy in October to try and combat the cancer but it has since metastasized. I will be starting chemo to try and beat this disease in the near future, as soon as my care team established a plan. I am a mother to a beautiful 10 year old boy and I intend to fight this and be here for him! I’ll be updating this with posts about my ongoing treatment. UPDATE: last week (2/9/24) I was able to go to the doctor and see my care team about my recent re-diagnosis. They have informed me the cancer is aggressive, has impacted my ovaries and is spreading. I start chemo and radiation this upcoming Thursday to help decrease the growth but also help with pain. My job has given me time off but I am still waiting for any type of assistance with maintaining the small life I do have to make sure my son is protected and taken care of.
