Help Dallas's end stage liver cirrhosis journey

Donation protected

Hi my name is Aidan Zimmerman-Quast and I am 17 year old student fundraising for my Dad.

My Dad, Dallas is the embodiment of love. When he was healthy this man was constantly out serving his loved ones and community with the wide smile you see pictures above. He has lived life with Ulcerative Colitis and a colostomy bag since he was 13 years old. However he has not let that stop him from living a happy life. For as long as I can remember my dad has been an active and healthy man. On February 11th 2021, when he was on the couch feeling weak and slurring his speech and then unresponsive I knew something was wrong. I called an ambulance for my father, he was admitted to the hospital for 3 weeks in critical condition. He had a blood infection (sepsis), Gastrointestinal bleeding, Parastomal Hernia and End stage liver cirrhosis. Many doctors were not sure he would make it. But this man is a resilient and strong soul whose time to leave this earth has not yet arrived. Since being discharged from the hospital in early March he has been living at home with his daughter (Aidan, me) managing life with liver cirrhosis surrounded by the support and love of his Family. Dallas has been under going gastroscopies as an outpatient to get a clearer understanding of the cause and keep an eye on the state of his liver. He’s in the process of getting his body strong enough to handle a liver transplant.

I am creating this go fund me in hopes that I can bring some more money into our household and decrease some of the financial, emotional and mental stress. As it is only me and my dad living in the house and he is clearly no longer in a condition to be working. I am unable to work since I am the one providing his day to day care. The funds will be used to help create a comfortable place for Dallas to heal in. Money going towards bills, groceries and his medical costs.

Anything and Everything is appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read about Dallas's Liver cirrhosis journey.

Have a blessed day.
