Saleen was hit by motorcycle

I would like you to meet Saleen, a beautiful 14 year old girl, whose smile brightens every room she walks into. Saleen has a personality so much bigger than her tiny frame can possibly hold. From the small town of Boulder Creek she is known by so many and loved by all of them.
Tragically, Saturday February 27, 2016, Saleen was walking across Highway 9 in Boulder Creek, to visit a friend and was struck by a motorcycle at a high rate of speed.
Through a miracle Saleen is still here with us but she and her family have a long, long road to recovery. She is currently in the ICU at Lucille Packard Childrens Hospital, Stanford, in Palo Alto, Ca.
She has already undergone plastic surgery on her face where her nose was broken in two places, she has a lacerated kidney and spleen and bleeding in her stomach. She has swelling in her brain, which all combined, is putting a strain on her heart. The pain she is enduring is extremely severe even for a full grown adult but imagine being a young 14 year old girl and having to experience this. At this point they can't be sure when she will get out of the hospital but it will be strict bed rest for months to be sure. It will take time before they are sure of the full extent of her injuries.
Her mom has 3 other children, the youngest is 2. Her mom has been staying with Saleen.
Any assistance this young family can get at this point would be extremely helpful to cover their immediate and ongoing out of pocket expenses.
Thank you so very much for your time and consideration. The family is grateful for any help they can get.
