2040 is made by award-winning director Damon Gameau (That Sugar Film), who embarks on journey to explore what the future could look like by the year 2040 if we simply embraced the best solutions already available to us to improve our planet and shifted them rapidly into the mainstream.

From Damon Gameau comes #2040film, an aspirational journey to discover what the future could look like if we simply embraced the best that exists today. This is the narrative the next generation needs to see, to aspire to, and to believe is possible. #WhatsYour2040  #JoinTheRegeneration http://www.whatsyour2040.com

The MPS Solar My School Story

At Mosman Public School our vision is to actively engage students, staff and parents to support a learning environment that inspires sustainable best practices and emphasises the importance of creating a sustainable future for our community.

With Solar my School and Mosman Council, Mosman Public School has created a plan to install solar panels at the school. Now we need your support to make this environmental initiative happen.

Our partner Solar my School (SmS) is a Council initiative helping primary and secondary schools in the Sydney region ‘go solar’ – delivering the financial, environmental and educational benefits of clean, locally produced renewable energy.

Over the last 2.5 years 60 of the 64 schools in the Eastern Suburbs have signed up to SmS. To date 17 systems have been installed with 26 more scheduled in next few months. This will total more than 2000 kW generated annually, and represents 13% of all solar installed in the region. For more information see www.solarmyschool.org.au

Mosman Council have engaged SmS to support Mosman Public School going solar, and to be the first school in our area as part of this program. The SmS feasibility study identified the opportunity of having a large 50kW solar power system installed at the school at the cost of $51,000.

The installation of this solar system will have a huge impact both for the school and environment – creating a sustainable environment at MPS and inspiring other North Shore schools. Our target for fundraising is $25,500, as we have confirmed Department of Eduction funding match for every dollar we can raise.

With your help, we can make solar a reality at Mosman Public School and start a momentum of change on the North Shore. All donations will help - from $2 to $1000 and beyond - and will receive a Deductible Gift Receipt from the MOSMAN PUBLIC SCHOOL P&C BUILDING FUND.

Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to all the kids at Mosman Public School.
