The morning of August 1st our father at the age of 56 was hit by an SUV while walking down the street and left fighting for his life. He was later found by someone in an alley and rushed to the hospital where he passed away before making it into surgery. As we are waiting for a full police investigation for the homicide of  our father, my family and I are now in the process of planning his services.  All while trying to process what just happened, as we are left with so many more questions than answers. 

Just a few months ago, we lost another family member to cancer. Two deaths so close together has really put immense emotional and financial strain on my family, as you could imagine. I would not approach you on this platform if it were not absolutely necessary. My family is too prideful to even consider doing something like this. But at this point, I am left without options and I need to contribute in any way I can.

Some of you have already reached out and asked if there’s anything you could do, and quiet honestly this is what would make the most impact at this point. It would take some of the burden off my families shoulders so we can deal with the loss of my dad. As well as continuing to mourn my uncle.

A memorial service open to friends and family will be set at a date in the coming weeks once we have some answers.

My dad leaves behind three children, one grand daughter, one grandson on the way, three sisters, brother in laws, nieces and nephews, cousins, and a whole community of life long friends.
