This campaign is being set up for Logan. He is my best friend's 11-year-old son who was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma on July 8th. Rhabdomyosarcoma is a rare, aggressive cancer of muscle cells which fail to differentiate. Logan is a highly academic, athletic, musician who is a great example and role model in his community and especially to his younger brother.
Logan has started the beginning of a long road of chemotherapy and radiation. Due to Covid-19 and extreme precautions all hospitals are taking at this time, he is allowed only one visitor at a time. His parents are taking turns visiting & staying with him while also helping Logan’s younger brother cope with overwhelming emotions of this life altering condition. Logan is expected to be able to leave the hospital and go home late this week. Due to the treatment his immune system is very weak. His family will be highly cautious of interactions and cleanliness of the atmosphere for him. In addition to the expenses going back & forth to the hospital daily for the last week they will be setting their home up to accommodate the best environment possible for Logan. One of the major side effects he has suffered is excessive fluid buildup in his lungs making it a challenge just to breath. They would like to equip their home with high grade HEPA Air purifiers to provide Logan with clean purified air to aid him in recovering the health of his lungs. This is even more critical as we are in the midst of a highly contagious virus that targets the lungs. Any amount or share of this link is sincerely appreciated!!
Logan’s absence is felt heavily by his family, friends and teammates. We are all looking forward to seeing him back in the pool, on his bike and hearing the sound of him playing his favorite tunes on the piano!
