Mozambique Missions Trip

Hello my name is Jonathan Forte and I am passionate about missions. As many of you know, it has long been my desire to serve others in a cross cultural setting. When I was a junior in high school I heard about a ministry that was transforming the nation of Mozambique one person at a time. Iris ministries is an organization with one passion, to see people experience the love of Christ in every area of their life. Starting from nothing, they are now a place that over 10,000 orphans call home and have been responsible for planting 6,000 churches. This January, I applied and was accepted to their Harvest School of Missions in Pemba, Mozambique. This is a school where I will be trained in missions work by Mozambican pastors and leaders as well as the founders of Iris Ministries and other international ministers and missionaries. I will also have the opportunity to go on extended outreaches. I will be living with hundreds of children, gaining an understanding of how to minister cross-culturally, getting practically equipped to address the challenges of third-world nations, and see God work in myself and those around me. I will be attending this school from June 1st till August 1st.
