Mozambique Hearing Mission

“Blindness separates people from things;
deafness separates people from people.”
This January, I am honored to travel with a group of audiologists to the remote areas of Mozambique, Africa in order to provide hearing healthcare to those who need it most. I have an incredible opportunity to give the gift of hearing to so many in need.
Due to the shortage of services, equipment, and treatment opportunities, Mozambique is in dire need of our services. Simple treatment options available to us in developed countries are non-existent in these areas. In many cases, deaf and serious hearing-impaired children do not receive any schooling simply because they cannot recieve treatment for their hearing loss. For citizens of an already struggling country, losing the ability to communicate in addition to limited work opportunities are detrimental.
In order to lend a helping hand, I need to fundraise my portion of this trip. Please help me give back to those who so desparetely need it. The cost of this trip includes airfare, stay, food, and transportation. It also includes the mandatory yellow fever vaccination- which is in a severe shortage due to the recent outbreak of yellow fever & thus is very expensive. Truly, every dollar helps. Thank you so much & happy holidays!
