Working with a local community in Mapai in Northern Mozambique and a group of the secondary school kids at our education project here in Portugal, we are aiming to raise the funds needed (£10,000) to build a two-classroom school block to help their pupils in Mapai access a better quality education.

At the moment, there are 150 pupils in the village who either squeeze into two small shacks or learn outside under a tree. Books and other learning resources are very minimal. The two teachers are doing are incredible job, but will benefit greatly from a little support.

In one of the crazier things I have done with my life, in February 2026, I will travel to Mozambique again with our teenagers to help with the building of the school. Them and the wider school community are working hard to raise the funds needed for all of this and I want to show my support by doing another crazy thing - running the Ultra Blue Whale 25km run in the Azores!

I've never run more than 12km and that was a few months ago, so this is going to be a serious challenge for me........ :)

If you can spare a few pennies to help me try and raise this target, I will be super grateful. Every penny will go directly towards the building and teaching materials needed to make an amazing school project in Mozambique.
