Moyne Rangers Runathon
Donation protected
I Aidan Browne, together with my club, Moyne Rangers Men's will be holding a runathon in aid of ISPCC / Childline. On Sunday, May 3rd, between 9 am and 9 pm, members of our team will be running for half-hour intervals (within their restricted 2km limit).
If you would like to run, you do not have to be involved with Moyne Rangers, we would be delighted to have you join in with us. Let me know in advance and I will give you a timeslot. We have set a target of €1500 but we are hoping to raise as much as possible for the ISPCC / Childline.
Since schools have closed, the service has seen an increase of 30% in calls to the Childline service. A shocking statistic. The Childline phone service is available 24 hours a day and the text service is available between 10 am and 4 pm each day. Sadly, for some children, this is their only help and hope. Unfortunately, the service requires immediate funding and I feel we owe it to the children of Ireland to ensure they get the assistance they need to feel safe.
If you can donate anything, no matter how small, we would be so grateful. Remember, abuse does not stop, even during a pandemic.
Thank You. Cllr. Aidan Browne
