Aside from everything wrong that has happened in 2020 for everyone, our sweet boy Mowgli has fallen very ill and had an accident.
You may know us really well or not at all, but we have all gone through really hard times this last year and now it feels like life just keeps throwing us things and we can’t catch our breath no matter how hard we work or what we do.
It came on sudden and fast, he was vomiting up bile every other day before breakfast, very normal for dogs to do this if they go to long in between feedings. His weight looked a little down We gave him a little snack before bed and he was good for a week, no vomiting. Sunday afternoon be started vomiting again and Monday morning after breakfast, he vomited up all his food. He was shaking and looked very frail, we took him to the vet and they gave him some medication to eliminate a few things and an anti nausea injection so he could keep food, water and meds down.
He vomited through that and his last meal he would willingly eat (after I coaxed him) was Monday night, his ribs were protruding. We booked him an ultrasound for Wednesday afternoon.
Tuesday night, he vomited again.
Wednesday morning, he vomited again and could hardly walk, I took him out for a pee and after he went his back legs were giving out. Once we got inside he just fell over and couldn’t get up. I rushed him to the ER.
They have ran his tests and he has a tennis ball stuck in his small intestine. He’s never been one to swallow toys or items. He will need surgery immediately to remove it.
Despite our best efforts, we need help. It feels crazy to be asking for this, because it’s not in our nature, we work very hard, but costs just keep piling every time the vet calls us, we are already at $5500 as long surgery goes well and they don’t find any other problems.
Pandemic, our daughter, Ryan has been working two jobs for us and now this overwhelming cost.
Mowgli and Breeze are very dear to us and we would do anything for them.
I’ve lost my angel Tyson at a very young age and would’ve done anything for him and want to give Mowgli a long happy life.
Please if you find it in your hearts and are able, please consider donating or at least sharing this. I understand donating might not be feasible for some but anything really helps us during this time. ❤️
Thank you you so much from the bottom of our hearts for donating or thinking of us. Mowgli thanks you too and hopefully we can have our baby back healthy and his surgery and recovery goes well.
