Hey hey, my name is Mae and I'm starting this fundraiser so I can have money to move from Alabama to Wichita to live safer as a trans woman. I've gone through 6 jobs in the past year and a half due to me dealing with harassment and death threats for being trans. I've been blacklisted from all of the good restaurants in town for work as a cook because I'm trans. My most recent job, immediately next to where I live, I got a death threat from a co-worker within the first hour of the first day of me working there, on 10/4, as well as death threats from the gang that loiters in that shopping center area, and management and HR have been much less than helpful. I've been run broke again because I can't find or keep a good job, which is the same reason that I was living out of my car with my dog for over a month last year. Work looks good in Wichita, based off the calls I made yesterday, and from what I've heard from their local trans community. Wichita seems to be an all around safer place for me to live and pursue my careers as a chef and professional audio engineer. I need help with funds so I can move and also have enough to move into a studio apartment with my dog. Any help given is very appreciated. Thank you for your time and donations.
