I am starting this fundraiser to help an amazing woman. Someone who is like a second mother to me. DaNay is a mother, wife, friend and beloved child of God. Her faith, determination , ability to overcome obstacles , love of God and her family is incredible and something I truly admire. Throughout her life she has struggled with health issues. In true DaNay fashion and with God , as well as, her family by her side she pushes through and overcomes the obstacles put in her path. Even during the most difficult times she is always trying to help others. For example ....during Christmas she was trying to help families in need ( not with gifts but, with things we all take for granted - electricity & water...keeping their utilities on). She prayed for these families and reached out to make sure these families received help if it was out of her personal reach.
In June of 2018 her right arm started going numb followed by severe burning and tingling. She would loose complete function & balance of her right side & eventually it started on the left side. Her hands swell to the point of looking disfigured ( see pictures) . She struggled to open doors, get dressed, grip a glass and doing the simplest things were a challenge. Simple things we all take for granted. A trip to the ER revealed severe damage to her neck & she was referred to a spine surgeon. Just as quickly as DaNay and her husband had started to get on their feet financially and recover now they were facing yet another medical issue.
**DaNay will be having a major surgery on her neck January 17...then another surgery on the 30th.** I would love to help ease some of the financial burden that they will be facing ..... Give them the peace of mind in not having to worry about anything other than DaNay's recovery so she can get her life back and do the things she enjoys !
My prayer is that Michael can focus on taking care of his wife and not have to worry about anything else. We will also be setting up a meal train in the local area. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Our God is awesome and we are praying that DaNay will be completely healed and can do the things that she loves again. Quality Time with her family, animal rescue & many other things that she is missing out on. Please keep DaNay, Michael and her kids in your prayers. They have been through so much these past few years!
