Hi, I’m Sam, and on the 3rd May I will be taking on the National Three Peaks Challenge to support my friend Pete Eveleigh and the incredible work of the Darby Rimmer MND Foundation.
“Moving Mountains for MND” to raise awareness and funds for this devastating disease.
My good friend Pete, from Exeter, Devon, just 32 years old, was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) two years ago—a cruel condition that affects the brain and nerves, taking away the ability to move, speak, and even breathe. Pete is a devoted husband to Jess and father to their 4-year-old son, Oliver.
This challenge is for them and everyone fighting MND.
The Challenge:
To raise these funds, I’ll be climbing:
⛰️ Ben Nevis (Scotland, 1,345m)
⛰️ Scafell Pike (England, 978m)
⛰️ Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) (Wales, 1,085m)
All within 24 hours!
Donations:
Half of the funds raised will directly support Pete and his family, helping them navigate life with MND. The other half will go to the Darby Rimmer MND Foundation, funding critical research and support for those affected.
How You Can Help:
Your donation will make a real difference:
✨ Supporting Pete, Jess, and Oliver with practical and emotional needs.
✨ Driving research and care through the Darby Rimmer MND Foundation.
Thank you for any donation big or small. Together, we can support Pete, his family, and the fight for a cure.
A big thank you to Dronedesk for sponsoring this event and making it possible.
Thank you,
Sam
