We are writing this for our sister Martha, as we are trying to raise funds for her a stairlift and to help make her apartment handicap accessible. This will allow her to be able to travel up and down the stairs to her living space. She is living currently in her daughters dining room since her most recent health issues. She has been through so much in the past 8 years with her health ( open heart surgery, and 4 separate bowel surgeries). She was in the hospital in March and April of this year due to heart issues, she is also facing another heart surgery in the future. Her COPD has gotten worse in the last few months due to her heart.  Her team of doctors have determined that stairs are a huge risk for her now, with her breathing and fear of falling while on a high dose of blood thinner. 

Our mission is to raise enough funds to be able to provide a stairlift for her and to make her living space handicap accessible. This will allow her to get back to having her own space and privacy, yet still be apart of her family. It is difficult for us to watch our sister be in such despair. If you know our sister Martha, she has one of the kindest souls you will ever meet and I know she will be grateful.
