Moving Marc's Work Forward
Donation protected
Hi to all of Marc's loved ones,
Marc may have moved on from this life, but his soul's evolution and purpose continues on. He was inspired by Fred Hampton, who once said, "You can kill the revolutionary, but you can't kill the revolution."
And as Marc said himself, "I humbly consider myself fearless with a passion for taking on challenges." He fought for the underdog and was driven to serve others above all else. He always made time to help friends, patients and strangers alike, even as he was struggling with his own health challenge of all challenges.
In June 2021, he achieved his dream of graduating UCSF as a psychiatric nurse practitioner, and started working as a resident at the San Francisco VA and doing psychedelic research. He often said he felt blessed, and that his work was like a "waking vacation."
He was a man with many passions, and in his spirit and honor, we'd like to raise money to donate in his memory--divided up between 3 purposes that meant a lot to him:
- A shelf/section filled with Marc's healthcare/nursing/psychiatric books donated in his name in the San Francisco VA library, where he was working as a psychiatric nurse practitioner resident
- Glioblastoma Foundation, whose mission is to modify the current standard of care for glioblastoma by replacing radiation and chemotherapy with targeted small molecule therapies that prolong survival and increase quality of life. Their vision is to transform glioblastoma to a manageable chronic condition. glioblastomafoundation.org
- Vet Solutions, an organization that strives to end the veteran suicide epidemic by providing resources, research, and advocacy for veterans seeking psychedelic-assisted therapies for PTSD, addiction, and other health conditions. vetsolutions.org
If you feel moved to donate, thank you so much. It is very much appreciated. And most of all, thank you all for being an important part of Marc's life.
