If you know me, you know that I don't ask for help. If you don't know me, I'm glad you're here, but this is hard for me to do.
At the beginning of October, I walked away from a job that was causing my epilepsy to work overtime. The employer was well aware of my needs and did nothing except tell me I needed to be doing a better job. I was doing the work of three people and regularly worked overtime.
I have seizures in my sleep, and a considerable trigger is stress. My job was stressing me to the point where I was beginning to have them again. Although I live alone and have a service dog, it's still a terrifying prospect.
Since then, I have been turned down for every job I have applied for and interviewed for. I have been relying on my self-employment income and the kindness of strangers. Unfortunately, Montana is not offering me the things I need to get back on my feet while adequately handling my epilepsy. After much debate, I have decided to move back across the East Coast to be closer to my family and friends who can help me.
Here is where I need your help: I need to be able to get back across the country and settle in. My goal is to purchase a trailer that I can use to haul the bikes that belong to my business and the essentials that I will need to get by. I also need to purchase a hard shell topper for my truck to outfit it for sleeping inside.
I am working through selling as many of my personal belongings as possible to help meet this goal. I have to ensure my truck is ready for that long of a drive, catch up on the payments, and purchase a new insurance policy for it and the trailer.
I cannot do this alone, so I am asking for your help. Please help me and leave me a note so I can add you to the list of people to give back to. I have plans for my motorcycle apparel business, and being back on the East Coast will also help me grow that business.
Again, thank you, and I promise to pay it all back.
