I’m starting this fundraiser for myself as I go through a recent divorce and try to afford an upcoming move. My lease is up in a month, and I’m worried I won’t have enough to make the move happen in time.

Living in Connecticut has been very expensive, and even though I work remotely, I’m still earning Texas cost-of-living wages. That has made it difficult to save what I need for such a big transition. Right now, I’m doing my best to keep up, but the upfront costs of moving are more than I can manage alone.

The funds raised will help me cover the deposits for a new place, first and last month’s rent, and the cost of renting a U-Haul to move my belongings. Having help with these expenses would make it possible for me to move forward with more stability during a very difficult time.
